Do you ever feel like you are stuck? Maybe stuck in a negative mood or stuck with negative feelings, like resentment or jealousy? Or maybe you are stuck in place of indecision? Or perhaps even stuck in a toxic relationship?
When we find ourselves feeling stuck and unable to get out, whatever it is that has us feeling that way begins to take on a life of its own and it begins to control our life. Suddenly we find ourselves being reactive instead of active as this "life sucker" bares down on us making us feel more and more stuck.
If you're like me and find yourself there one day, you may try all your usual tricks for getting out of that negative mindset and move past whatever has gotten your down or has hurt you. But sometimes all the tricks in our bags aren't enough to release the grip of the life sucker that has clamped onto us.
It is then when we are beginning to give up and just give in to the negativity that we must stop ourselves and remember this very important thing: "If there is a way into the wood, there is also a way out." (Irish proverb)
We walked into whatever negative space we find ourselves and although we maybe be unsure how to get out again, know that there is a way back again. There is a way to get back to the positive place in life. There is a way to release the bad mood or bad feelings or to make a decision or remove ourselves from unhealthy relationships. It will take work and it may not be easy. But even the most difficult things in life are made easier if we know there is hope.
